Gifts That Come From the Heart: The Story Behind A Well Run Life's Handmade Charms
Where it started
A Well Run Life began with a farm. Grace Farms in Chandler, Arizona was a working farm with a mission: to give young people — and especially young people who needed it most — time with horses. There is something that happens when a child stands next to a horse. The animal's size demands presence. Its calm demands quiet. The relationship demands honesty. Kids who struggle to connect in other settings often find something real there.
We started making handcrafted bronze charms in 2018 to support the farm. When the pandemic took our lease in 2020, the charms became the way we kept the mission alive. Today, sales from our charm collection support local equine youth programs — because we haven't given up on what horses can do for kids.
What the charms are
Each charm is cast in bronze and paired with a natural stone bracelet — tiger's eye or onyx — or offered as a keychain. Our Guardian Angel Charm is designed to be a symbol of protection and divine presence. Our Grace charm is a quiet reminder to move through life with gentleness. They are small, but people who receive them often describe them as among the most meaningful gifts they've ever been given.
What people say
We are humbled, regularly, by the messages we receive. People tell us they wore their charm through chemotherapy. That they gave one to a daughter heading off to college and she hasn't taken it off. That a mother received one when her child passed, and it sits on her nightstand. These aren't things we expected when we started casting bronze in Arizona in 2018. But they're the reason we keep going.
If you're looking for a gift that comes from the heart — one that was made by hand, in America, with a real purpose behind it — we'd be honored to help you find it.
